Well...Today was a long day!
Cassidy had her Interclub completition and she did terrific!
She performed her freeskate to music from The Incredibles first.
She skated a clean program but for a small mistake....She ran out of music before she was done. That, and she got turned around on the ice and couldn't remember where she was going. The ice surface in Arnprior is huge.. well gianormous compared to wee little Eganvile arena! And she got on the ice on a different end, with the stands on both sides no wonder the girl was all mixed up. When she got off the ice, she was in near tears as she thought she forgot her program. Cindy, her coach, and myself (and many others) tried to console her and try to get her to understand that it wasn't her fault and that she did wonderfully. So we went into the hall where they were serving food and doing the presentations, her face was so long, the poor thing, broke my heart to see her that way.
HAAA! In comes Michaela behind Cassidy...
"Cassidy, you got first place!"
Every mouth at that table dropped but Cassidy's, who's frown finally turned upside down! OMG shock! Now, I know she skated wonderfully. You've seen her skate on here.
Her spiral, her sitspin, her jumps!
More Solid and confident than ever..and very determined by the look of her tongue

Well I guess the judges saw what we saw.

The long walk to the "holding tank" where Cassidy and Cindy waited till she went on with the group of girls for their warmups.
HERE is her freeskate...pay no mind to the awful video taking! I was so busy watching her with my eyes and not on the camera screen..but who can blame me there!

And I've been asked to put up the clip of her getting her medal

And on the podium! WTG Cassidy!
Her group competition that she performed in to Grease,

She is so very happy to have the three different medals
So today was a good day, a switch from the last competition she was in!
We have one tired girl!
And a very patient brother!

Cassidy we are so proud of you!!!! You did fantastic and looked great. I hope that someday I get to watch you in person, but for now, thank you Laurie for these posts. Way to go!!!

Well what do you know!!!!!!my angel has found her "WINGS" and her "plane" is going to keep on "landing" on the podium!!!!!!!!
Cassidy, I am so very proud of you and your performance!!Maybe I will get to see another, but if I don't I will always remember the one we did share, and how well you did that day.how proud I was. Keep up the good work. We all love you.
